That's my normal method, but after over a year's worth of sloppy
filekeeping and cruft buildup, I found that less than 5% of the stuff in
/home was worth keeping. Why do I need copies and backups of stories
that are published and forgotten? :)
And since this computer is mine-and-mine-only, other users are not a
concern...
Stuff below... this sounds scary for someone like me who a friend once
called "too dangerous to be root without supervision." Mebbe....
