Actually there's a good book that Ed Centanni pointed me to a while back when I was learning GTK+. It was by New Riders Press (I believe) Unfortunately, I seem to have left it in Tampa when I moved. A good spot to look is here:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-url/ref=pd_kk_rs_sr_1/104-0711789-2382354?index=blended&field-keywords=gtk+

However, I presume you mean free documentation. Hmm.. that's a bit more
tricky. Of course, there's always this:

http://www.linuxheadquarters.com/howto/programming/gtk_examples/index.shtml

Hope that helps, even if it's just a teeny weeny little bit.

P.S.
Can you tell me what you guys think?

Yeah, I know - stuff all of you already know. Still, if it helps a struggling programmer/admin get home to his kids faster, it's worth it,
no?
