I am not familliar with the format of kmail, but accessing outlook.pst
is not easy. I have a program by Dave Smith (credit where credit is
due) called libpst. Once you unpack and build it, you can run it
against your .pst file and it will dump out all the mail and contacts.
It outputs all the mail in mbox format (bunch of plain text e-mails in a
single file). Each folder is output into a seperate file with the same
name.

Last time I looked, the program was no longer available as Dave had
gotten a nastygram from M$. I do have one of the last versions of the
program before he stopped development.

caveat: the program is not perfect. It will munch the occasional
e-mail. That said, I did sucessfully convert %99.9 of a 1.8G
outlook.pst file and then moved it all into Evolution.

If you want to give it a try, send me a note off list and I'll send you
the program (66k).
