Instead of Cygwin I prefer WeirdX, which is a complete Java X server. If you
run it alongside Mindterm (a Java SSH client) it's a perfect replacement for
Exceed or cygwin. Another plus is that you can drop the jar files on an
internet accesible machine, allowing you to have a desktop session from any
Java enabled machine.
