I'm familiar with Centronics 50, DB-25 (looks like serial), and mini-68
(don't know what it's called... it has latches). Do the ends of the cable
look like one of these?
I had a bitch of a time trying to find 50-pin round ribbon cable that was
long enough. Eventually I moved the drive down and the card up, and kept
the old, flat cable.
