I think he's referring to what is commonly called HD50 (which does also
have latches on the connector, usually). The wide form of HD50 is HD68.

There's also a super high density SCSI connector, which gives you wide
SCSI in a much smaller form factor (like maybe an inch wide and 1/8 inch
high). Not sure of its "official" name. They're usually found on
expensive, high-end disk arrays and such.

Anyway, if you can't find something locally, these guys stock everything
SCSI. Expensive but very high quality:
