The kernel module is too old, either back down to XFree86 4.3.0 or compile
the matching kernel driver part from the DRI head branch (hidden dwn in
xc/programs/Xserver/hw/xfree86/os-support/linux/dri/kernel I think).

Linus seems to be regularly integrating the latest kernel mod into the
developement kernels he puts out though, that might be another option.
