If you read Eric S. Raymond's rant about CUPS from a few days ago (at
least that is when it appeared on Slashdot), there are some 'tricks'.
One that comes to mind is that the RedHat server must have a setting to
allow remote access to its printers? I think that this was buried in the
CUPS HOWTO, but Eric highlighted it (as he expressed how unlikely it was
that a fictional grandmother would be able to use the CUPS GUI
configurator). It is worth a look.
