Well, I thought I had fixed this by changing the protcol to PS/2, but it
was just teasing me. It started acting up again yesterday. So today, I
decided I would try a new tactic. I went on Ebay and ordered a another
laptop. Now the pointer on the Toshiba works fine!
Seriously though, after I won the bid on Ebay, I came across a posting
that the keyboard connector comes loose on the Satellites and causes
this problem. So, I took off the keyboard, and unplugged the connector.
I had to tug on it, so I think it was in good. I cleaned off the
contacts, put everything back together, and it's been working fine now
for about 5 hours. So now, I will have 2 laptops... Maybe I'll use one
for a firewall, it'll be a lot quieter than a desktop machine.
Thanks for all the help!
Doug
