Was the Hard drive running Windows or Linux?
If Windows, Data Recovery software starts at $69.95 to $100.00.
If it is Linux I don't know.
The local Data recovery people I have talked with don't do Linux..
In any case it is best to put the drive into a working machine and
run the recovery from its disk. Do not run scandisk on a damaged disk
