What he said! PowerBooks (or ibooks) have 17" monitors, and do run various
flavors of linux, Debian and SuSE, off the top of my head, for example. Just
make sure you get the PPC versions. Actually, running linux on
powermacs/books has the added benefit of OSX, and the ability to run OSX and
linux at the same time, in tandem, rather than the normal dual-boot mode
(which is boot one, shut down, then boot the other) Graphics and wireless
networking are supported as well.
