One thing I noticed just now, is that in the ethereal capture I am
getting an entry on the NBNS protocol which is looking for a name query
NB USERNAME. So it appears that XP is using the USERNAME in a way that
the Linux system is trying to resolve? I added the USERNAME to the
hosts file directing it to the IP of the new box, but I think this is
something on the samba level...
