When I read this, I had a whole bunch of sarcastic responses I was going
to vomit forth to the list, but Eric has pretty much summed it up.
Gentoo is "The Hundred-Year Linux Distro" because it takes that long to
compile it on my computer.

Conversely, Debian could be "The Hundred-Year Linux Distro" because it
takes about that long for a stable release. (in computer years -- like
dog years)

What I really enjoy about the Mono project, is the virus potential. I
mean, we can convert people to the Linux Desktop and provide them with
viruses which are equally functional in Linux, as well as Windoze. That
is my malicious point of view. From my benevolent point of view, it
would be cool to easily share programs, regardless what the underlying
OS might be.

Merely playing the Devil's advocate; I am not ranting, but pouring
gasoline all about and smugly enjoying the fireworks,

The Logan
