Hello Sluggers,
Last week lightning struck and killed my PCI modem.
So I went shopping and found a hardware Zoom external modem that said it
was Linux compatible. ( 7 year replacement warranty) Installed it just
fine and works great. However, it came with a CD that has some pretty
nice software on it such as a modem hold so that you can take calls
while on line etc. But, the software is for Win & Mac. Dashed off an
e-mail to their support. They stated " Sorry, no software for Linux"
Of course I replied reminding them that they should be thinking Linux
but got the same reply.
So, my question/comment is, do you all think that someone would be
interested in writing/ modifying the software on the disc to work in
Linux??
