plans to release Ingres, an established relational database, to the open
source community under the CA Trusted Open Source License

intent was to release Ingres to open source within 90 days.
We are excited to announce that on August 4th, at LinuxWorld 2004 in San
Francisco, California, CA fulfilled its commitment ahead of schedule and

Ingres delivers an enhanced set of features, including high availability,
key ranged partitioned tables, parallel query processing, online table
modify, 64-bit processor cache and more. With Ingres and its world-class
features, CA and the open source community will create the next generation
