Besides all of the other issues with 10base2.... HOW OLD is the cable. If it is
more than a few years old it has probably gassed off a lot of the
stuff that makes
it work the way it is supposed to. The inner insulator is probably
cracked in places
and that means that you have impeadance differences which will make for more
problems... Toss it and go fibre or RF, particularly if it is a run
between buildings.

You are just setting your self up for some king sized problems with that stuff.
