I am almost 100% M$ free. One thing I hadn't really thought of when I
was moving over and getting frustrated that there were not drivers for
my scanner or a modem I wanted to use, was that when I purchased those
items I purchased them for M$. It is reasonable to expect that if I was
running Linux when I bought them I'd have bought compatible hardware.
Other than that, as a user the only other problems keeping M$ around is
Websites that require IE (absolutely infuriating! Especially when we
are talking about a website that was designed by the state to provide
emergency service information. ie a map with the flood zones.) Grant
it I ultimately found another method of getting the information off
their site,

Anyway, I'm happy to be leaving them behind when possible.
