I am paying $29.95/month for 1.5 Mbits down and 384 Kbits up.... RR cost
me $44.95/month for their standard home service which could be quite
laggy for me on occasion (DNS issue?). As far as my DSL speed goes, I'd
guess it would be as good as anyone else who uses Verizon's DSL as the
CO is directly across the street from my house. I'm sure the signal has
a little more distance to go than that though as my phone line comes in
from the pole in the back, but still my house shouldn't be too many
copper feet away from the CO.

I am looking forward to using Verizon's news server as I've heard it's
very good for a major ISP, perhaps rivaling some of the big news
services with respect to their retention and completion. All I need now
is the ability to log in to the darn thing...

I've got a Westell 2100, are they prone to failing?
