Paraphrasing the solution in the thread, the symlink is supposed to be like
this as root:
$>> cd /to/your/firefox/plugins/directory
$>> ln -s /ToYourJavaDirectory/plugin/i386/ns610-gcc32/libjavaplugin_oji.so
libjavaplugin_oji.so

restart Firefox and try it.
