Im sure more of you all are aware of the upcomming broadcast flag being
imposed on digital broadcasts starting July 2005. After that you wont
be able to buy or import any device that doesnt incorporate the use of
broadcast flag technology, so the pchdtv3000 card is one of the few
ways, if not the only way on a nix based box, that you could (as far as
it looks now) record digital HDTV. It has just been put up for pre-order
at the site listed below. Im not sure of how well it will work with
MythTV, but it supposed to work. The card will be shipping on Nov 8,
and it costs $189.89 +s/h. You are able to get 'Volume discounts start
on just 2 cards saving $4.89 ea. and $9.89 on 5 or more cards', so I
wanted to ask if there were any other MythTV users and if any of you
plan on getting one of these cards so that we could get the discounts.
