[SLUG] syslog client for XP?

I'm looking for a syslog client (not server) for command-line XP, so I can
send messages to my Linux-based syslog server on the same LAN. I found
http://www.monitorware.com/en/logger/index.php , but it logs like this:

Oct 24 15:24:33 thinkpad-w laptop test
where message came from--^ ^--tag

The Linux /usr/bin/logger allows a "-t foo" option to set the tag to
"foo"; this one ignores "-t" (yes it uses - for options too). I need to
be able to set the tag. Does anybody know a suitable logger?
