Woody, I just found a on line install guide and followed it, in order to make
sure I was doing stuff right. this is my first jab at Debian. The
install instructions
were more oriented towards a desktop and did not really take into account
PCMCIA.
I have wireless tools, but I am not sure about the wlan-ng-modules

I guess I messed something up there, I tried
apt-get install linux-wlan-ng-modules-2.2.20
and was told there was nothing of the like

I am using static addressing right now, will deal with DHCP later on
just want to get this all up and working.
