[SLUG] Skype, /dev/dsp, & OSS

I'm trying to use Skype, but I think I have an issue with my sound card
via /dev/dsp. I can play music and videos, but my Macromedia Flash has been
broken since I changed to my onboard:

Multimedia audio controller: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] SiS PCI Audio
Accelerator (rev 02) (Trident??)

Skype says something about using OSS instead of ALSA, and even though I think
I have the modules loaded for OSS, it won't work. I believe there's an issue
via /dev/dsp. My permissions look good:

crw-rw---- 1 root audio 14, 3 Feb 23 2004 /dev/dsp

My user account is a member of the audio group. How should I troubleshoot
this?
