Just in case you didn't assume (which is always safe),
I never said you didn't.

If someone uses Fedora, gives it a proper run and still prefers something else,
guess what?

You'll have *0* issue with me! :->

I've _never_ claimed Fedora is "better."
In fact, I've _only_ claimed I use Fedora because I'm 1) most familiar with it and 2) that my stay with it causes me to trust it.

I'm sure if I would have adopted Debian earlier than 2001, I might be using Debian on my primary systems today.
But because it was around the same time most RPM distros started addressing "dependency hell," I ended up keeping my preference for RH/Fedora.

God know that my history is filled with assumptions and people getting upset with me in reverse.
But over the last few years, I've either learned to not comment when I don't personally know about something,
or when I do, and someone clearly has more accurate info, heed their knowledge.
The AutoCAD thread was an example of this.
Because I _am_ wrong/mistaken from time-to-time.

Getting prideful and trying to talk one's way out of something only defeats the purpose.
The purpose to share info and knowledge, not merely to prove your are an expert on everything.
I save that for my resume and interviews, hence why I don't post my credentials here.
Because someone's _always_ got more!

My opinion on Fedora is based on _actually using_ it. I went from Mandrake to FC3 to get my wireless working on the laptop, only to not long afterwards convert to Debian via a Kanotix live CD (and I'm contemplating switching *that* to MEPIS because MEPIS works with my wireless card even better).
