Well, strike one. I kicked all the guys in the office out, hup'd one of
my samba servers with the modified conf and tried to set a windows XP
client. After selecting the domain box instead of workgroup and adding
the local domain, it spewed an error complaining that it couldn't
resolve _ldap._tcp.dc._msdcs.mylocaldomain.lan. Added the entry in dns
to the proper samba server, and it complained that there was no dc on
that machine. any ideas??

thanks.
