Yes I am using a matrox board that has 2 vga out. I used yast (suse 9.1) to
configure it this time around, but it seems to me I did it manually somewhere
in the distant past.... hmmm.
A quick glance over the howto you mentioned - looks like the important part is
the ServerLayout section - putting in the screen 1 line and the mutli head.
I don't use xinerama - it makes one big screen if I remember correctly. I like
the 2 seperate desktops.

I would imagine that dual screens in unix predates the other current popular
OS. The Cadd guys have always liked to have 2 screens, one for graphics and
one for commands/menus.
