You didnt specify what G3 but I can say that YD runs great on G3 B&Ws. I have
had it running a more than one. Currently it is running on a G# B&W 400 and
runs fast and strong. I have Debian on another and it is running great also.
I am in the process of getting Gentoo to load on the third one but i may just
wimp out and install Vitalinux.
Yes Linux will run great on a G3, Yellow Dog specifically will run with no
problems.
