Yeah, setting up my own Jabber server does seem a little overboard but
that's one of the only solutions I've run across thus far.

Theoretical question for the list: If two instances of Gaim are both running
by different users on the same machine, how difficult would it be for these
two processes to pass messages to each other? Perhaps a "local protocol"
module could be implemented to accomplish this task?
