Go ahead and get it. They will be releasing "fat"
binaries that support both PPC and x86 for a while.
Plus, it will last a while and perform great.

I have a friend how replaced his Titanium Powerbook
550MHz recently only because it started acting up. It
lasted him 5 years and he never complained about
performance, even when working with Lightwave and
such.
