The only thing to watch out for is that NFS used to be called No File Security
as it was easy to abuse a NFS connection to gain illegal access.

I've not used it for many many years so I don't know how it may have improved.
Additionally PAM and SELinux offers added security, so it may not be an issue
today. But as usual when you open up a service it's a good idea to at least
do some research on it's issues.
