For god's sake he has 3 computers at home he wants to share file in between!!!

This is not like a campus network or corporate network!

Who is going to gain unauthorized access exploiting an unsecured NFS
setup? His mom/wife/kids? You are unnecessarly discouraging somebody
who is obviously very green here. Please read what the problem is he
is trying to share.
