While generally true on the history,
 1) Not ending a sentence in a preposition has become the rule... not that
you personally have to agree with it anymore than you agree with the
commonly held definition of hacker or pirate or anything else these days.
 2) "With" as it is used in that quote is an adverb (modifying the verb up),
which is why it sounds so rediculous when reordered as if it were used as a
preposition.
