That's exactly what I was thinking. I would be happy to burn a few dozen
CD's for the occasion (it would help if SLUG or somebody else wanted to
donate the media :hint hint:). TheOpenCD [http://www.theopencd.org/] comes
to mind as a possible candidate to distribute and perhaps some Linux
live/install CD's would offer some good variety as well.
I've been trying to think of some interesting locations where this could
take place. Downtown Tampa and school campuses will probably be empty on a
Saturday. I'm not sure if the crowd at a place like a shopping mall or
public park would be tech-savvy enough to be interested. Libraries are an
option too but perhaps a computer-oriented retail store like Best Buy or
CompUSA would have a more attentive audience. What do you think?
