[SLUG] doing business

    Hey, all.

Even though I'm new at all of this stuff, I think I'm about ready to
take it to the next level. My brother's boss may be interested in
computerizing his rapidly growing business, and I think my wife and I
are going to put in a bid for setting up a pair of networks for him. I
was thinking that We could do one network of about 3-4 terminals on a
server on the internet so that his customers could enter their orders.
On the other network, I'm thinking 3-4 terminals on a server in a closed
network that would database more sensetive customer information for
their reference. I think that the terminals could be incredibly simple
machines--no more than 266MH and 128BM ram. I'm sure that machines like
this could be acquired for little-to-nothing if I found the right
source. (Linux--always going to the source--ha, ha.)
Even if this guy backs out of our bid, I believe that other small
businesses in the area would be interested in a nearly identicle setup.
So, taking that into consideration, I would like to pursue this one way
or another.
What I'm asking for from you guys is tips and hints, since I know
that some of you have done a lot of this exact thing. Also, I'm asking
if any of you have connections that you would be willing to share with
me in the Okc/Tulsa area that will help to get me jump-started since I
am in Oklahoma. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Michael
