I think you have the right idea. As educators, we
should teach that there actually is a wider market
than the view one gets with MS Blinders on :)
But... After having worked in the Pinellas School
system, I have a very good understanding of why it's
not possible. It's not the children that hold us
back. To some extent it's not the teachers either.
It's the administration. I'll stop my rant here...
suffice it to say that I'll never work in the
education field again.. it's just not worth it.
Maybe someday they will adopt Linux and rework their
management and political structures.. I'm not holding
my breath though.
