I have looked at the message log and see some stuff in there AFTER I
manually do the rout add, but prior to that I do not really see anything.

It does because all of the other machines on the network are picking
it up just fine. Indeed if I go to the wired network, it will probably work
on this one.

The gw address is shown in dhcpcd-test but it just does not get put in
the routing table...
