I have to agree with this. As a hardcore devotee of the command line, I
still maintain that the command line is often the only way to _fix_ your
machine. But for newbies, there shouldn't be any _fixing_. It should
just work, and the user shouldn't have to worry about the guts of the
OS. Windows users will flee in droves if they have to deal with the
command line. They're already afraid of their own (Windows) command
line.
