Well, I've bought and sold equipment since the 70's. I'd say most of the
brands have some problem at some time. One year they are the best. Then you
notice heavy competition in that industry and all of a sudden Q&A is gone and
your customers are complaining.

I noticed this very clearly with hard drive manufacturers. I think every one
of them have been on top and bottom at some point. Makes it harder for us who
just want to deal with quality products.

So I usually put that particular brand off for six months and then try them
again if they are still around and not showing signs of going under, or
something. Basically keeping an ear to the ground.
