Well that is what I thought so now I will be more specific [Sorry could not
last night at but now I am in the office with the equipment so I can type as
I redo what I did yesterday.

..........
Message: Installation Complete
boot into Debian
Remove CD
Reboot
..........
method for apt = ftp
Choose Debian mirror = ftp.debin.org
.....
Choose Software to install = Manual Package Selection
.................
Type of mail Configuration = Local Delivery Only
Mail = <user>
.......
Thank you for choosing Debian
Command line Debian login = roor
shutdown - h now
restart system
System comes up to Debian Command Line

Question:
When and how does one get to choose packages for as one can see by the above
NO package selection was ever made.

Check of system for GUI by startx at command line produces
Command Not Recognized

Question:
Does one have to install Debian from disks and not do ftp on-line installation
due to some failure in on-line installation.

I chose on-line simply because I do not have a set of disks.
