Yeah, always buy what you can afford, technology will march on regardless.
The AGP vs PCI is definitely good as far as competition goes. In practicality
all that really matters is if you have a motherboard and monitor which is
compatible and it does what you want.

It looks like the new generation PCI cards will be faster than the AGP, but
unless you absolutely need to have the bleeding edge, who cares?

When I bought my GForce 4 it was already a year old technology. But it did all
I needed it to. Of course at this point _I_would_like_to have something
bigger, faster. I simply leave that as a goal should I pull off some really
nice deal. Otherwise I'm still happy with what I have.
