Well, if you can get hold of a hex editor, you could try editing the strings
in the PDF, just don't change their *length* (pad them with spaces). They
might be ended by "\0". There also might be an alignment issue, so this
method isn't sure to work. If the text needs to be longer, sorry, no help
there. Abbreviate. Might not look so hot if the text is in a group of
text.
