I removed a lot of drivers from my kernel (got it down to 1.1M... small 
enough to fit un a floppy with a couple hundred K left over).  I _thought_ 
all of what I took out was unused, but apparently I was wrong.  GL apps 
won't run now.  I tried the evil binary "nvidia" X driver, as well as the 
open-source "nv" driver -- same result on both.  Strace logs are here for 
two of them, along with other good stuff:
