Having played with it for a while now I can see that this is indeed a beta
version of "Gentoo" or XGL or both.

Being Gnome you can change desktop by pressing Ctrl Alt Left or Right. When
you do it turns around the four sided "box" and rocks to a halt in the new
desktop.

Grab the top bar on program and it will bounce as if made by rubber.

Everything moves really smoothly without odd jerks or inconsistencies.

Unfortunately this version is not easily modifiable via the GUI, but if you
know the config files for Gentoo you're fine. I configured eth0 and X windows
manually and discovered that you can run systemconfig which configures all
the modules.

If you hold Ctlr Alt Left (for example) down, it will rotate at the speed of
your key repeat. Which on my system is 24 times per second. Woosh!

I'd love to see this under my KDE setup but I'm not entirely sold on it's
rotating value other than for effect. I do however love the ability to move
windows around without any dragging refresh following the window.

Since the update rate is so high you really get the idea there's no lag, other
than what disk and cpu I/O requires. Running with xinerama over two large
screens is really nice.

Unfortunately I've been able to crash it a number of times. It restarts X and
logs you back in. I ran flash animations each time it crashed.

Finally, if you try to login manually you can do it as kororaa no password or
root with kororaa as password.

I highly recommend trying out the live CD. Get a feel for what that technology
can do for you. On the horizon there are two other similar solutions. One
supposedly has less issues/requirements than XGL and might be an easier way
to go. You'll see that in Fedora. I forgot about the other.
