Then check your name server setting (/etc/resolv.conf).

"host google.com" should return

gooogle.com has address 216.239.37.99
gooogle.com has address 216.239.39.99
gooogle.com has address 216.239.57.99
gooogle.com mail is handled by 30 smtp3.google.com.
gooogle.com mail is handled by 10 smtp1.google.com.
gooogle.com mail is handled by 20 smtp2.google.com.

Odd. I asked for "google.com" (two "o"s), but it quoted "gooogle.com"
(three "o"s). I guess two-os is only another version of the official
three-os name.
