Well, at least to me.
The wife comes home last weekend with a bag full of work. Her boss told
her she could work OT over the weekend. They gave her the web site
address of the Citrix server, and she told them I would be able to take
care of anything else she needed at home.
Since I don't have a windows box here, except for a second boot option
on a new laptop that I just purchased, I downloaded a Citrix client for
linux. No problem with the install, and she was able to work fine.
The problem came up when she needed to print locally. We logged a
service ticket with her IT group, who responded to her fairly quickly,
with the answer, "We don't support linux." I responded back to them,
that I didn't want them to support linux, I'd take care of that, just
tell me what they were doing about printing. It turns out that her
company decided against the Citrix printing environment, and went with
triCerat Simplify Printing package called Screwdrivers. Unfortunately,
right now, it's only for windows.
Does anybody have any suggestions on how to get around this issue
without loading windows, or doing what she has been doing, which is
mailing each of the documents back to herself at home, and then opening
them here under linux and printing them?
Thanks,
Tom
