When I started synaptic, I got an error complaining about duplicate
sources.list entries:
W: Duplicate sources.list entry http://us.archive.ubuntu.com breezy/universe Packages (/var/lib/apt/lists/us.archive.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_breezy_universe_binary-i386_Packages)
W: Duplicate sources.list entry http://us.archive.ubuntu.com breezy-updates/main Packages (/var/lib/apt/lists/us.archive.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_breezy-updates_main_binary-i386_Packages)
W: Duplicate sources.list entry http://us.archive.ubuntu.com breezy-updates/restricted Packages (/var/lib/apt/lists/us.archive.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_breezy-updates_restricted_binary-i386_Packages)
So I poked around in /etc/apt/sources.list to see if I could see any obvious
problems (I couldn't), ran aptitude to see if the error showed up there (it
didn't), and ran synaptic to copy the entire error for this message. Lo and
behold, it works. I changed nothing. Well, I copied the error into
/etc/apt/sources.list, commented it out, saw that it was
character-for-character the same error as I'd copied in previously, and
deleted it.
Is there really a problem? If so, what should I look for?
