The lock file goes away when ff shuts down so it is getting it from else
where. I have looked at the prefs.js file and created a little user.js file
all to no avail. There is also nothing in the about:config stuff either, it
must be something that has been left in there. You can turn it off but
as soon as you restart the browser it comes back up offline.
