Thanks Levi,

I was able to get passed that IKernel pop-up error, but now I am
experienceing the same error regarding IE4 as I described when I ran the
command preceded by sudo. I really would like to use the reader and not
have to convert the files if I can avoid it. I will fiddle with it for a
while longer before going down that route.
