I have gpg as well, and I still get these messages. And FWIW, I've never
had more dependency problems with anything than I have had with X.
Particularly when Debian switch from X 6.XX to 7.XX, I had to dump X and
all dependent programs, and reinstall them all from scratch. That's not
pertinent to the X devel toolchain, but...
