I got a Laser from Dell (P1500) for something like $200. (You get the best
price when you can bundle it with a computer.) Toner from eBay at a silly
amount. Good amount of RAM and fast. USB and parallel ports.

There's something to be aware of when using ink. It reports empty when in fact
there's up to 30% still in it. You can buy a battery driven 'key' which let's
you reset the cartridge to get the last drop out of it. A couple of dollars
on eBay.
